Zenchent™ (norethindrone/ethinyl estradiol) is a prescription
birth control pill. It is a type of monophasic birth control pill, which means that there is only one strength of hormones in each pack, unlike biphasic or triphasic pills, which have different phases of pills that contain different strengths of hormones in each pack.
Zenchent is a generic version of the brand-name birth control pill
Ovcon®.
Just like any medicine, Zenchent can cause side effects.
However, not everyone who uses the contraceptive will experience problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well.
If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider. Serious reactions are less common. Common
side effects of birth control pills such as Zenchent include but are not limited to:
- Nausea or vomiting
- Breast tenderness
- Acne
- Headaches
- Breakthrough bleeding or spotting between periods.
