Drug Interactions With Zenchent Fe

It is important to know that certain medications, such as antibiotics or various seizure drugs, may react with Zenchent Fe. These interactions can make the birth control pill less effective, possibly increasing your chance of pregnancy. If other medicines are taken with Zenchent Fe, they can affect blood levels of the medications, perhaps increasing your risk for side effects.

An Overview of Zenchent Fe Interactions

Zenchent Fe™ (norethindrone/ethinyl estradiol) can potentially interact with numerous other drugs. The antibiotic-birth control interaction is the "classic" interaction that comes to most people's minds, but antibiotics are not the only drugs that can interact with Zenchent Fe.
 
If you are ever unsure how to handle any particular drug interaction, it is wise to use a backup method of contraception, such as condoms, until you can check with your healthcare provider.
 
Some of the drugs that may react with Zenchent Fe include:
 
  • Aminoglutethimide (Cytadren®)
  • Antibiotic medications
  • Aprepitant (Emend®)
  • Barbiturate medications, such as:
     
    • Amobarbital (Amytal®)
    • Butalbital (Fioricet®, Fiorinal®)
    • Pentobarbital (Nembutal®)
    • Phenobarbital (Luminal®)
