Drugs That Interfere With Zenchent Fe

More Information on Drug Interactions With Zenchent Fe

The following sections explain in detail the potentially negative interactions that can occur when Zenchent Fe is combined with any of the drugs listed above.

Aminoglutethimide (Cytadren)
Combining Zenchent Fe with aminoglutethimide may increase your risk of pregnancy. Talk with your healthcare provider before using these medications together. You may need to use a backup method of contraception, such as condoms.

Antibiotics
There have been many reports of accidental pregnancy occurring in women taking birth control pills and certain antibiotics together. However, the significance of these interactions is still uncertain, as studies have not shown most antibiotics to be likely to cause birth control pill failure. Some antibiotics are more prone to cause problems than others. If you are taking an antibiotic, ask your healthcare provider if you need to use a backup method of contraception (see Antibiotics and Birth Control Pills for more information).

Aprepitant (Emend)
Aprepitant can make Zenchent Fe less effective, perhaps increasing your chance of pregnancy. Talk with your healthcare provider before using these medications together. You may need to use a backup method of contraception.

Barbiturates
Barbiturates may cause your body to metabolize the hormones in Zenchent Fe too quickly, potentially increasing your risk of pregnancy. Ask your healthcare provider if you should use a different method of contraception while taking a barbiturate.

Cyclosporine (Gengraf, Neoral, Sandimmune)
Zenchent Fe may increase the level of cyclosporine in your blood, possibly increasing the chance of side effects. Talk with your healthcare provider before taking these medications together. You may need a lower cyclosporine dosage, or you may need to switch to a different method of contraception.
