Wymzya Fe Dosage

The only Wymzya Fe dosage recommended for preventing pregnancy is one tablet taken once a day, at the same time every day. This birth control pill comes as a chewable tablet, although you can swallow it whole as well. It is important to know exactly what to do if you forget to take a pill, as this increases your chances of pregnancy.

An Introduction to Your Dosage of Wymzya Fe

There is only one standard dose of Wymzya™ Fe (norethindrone/ethinyl estradiol). As always, do not adjust your dosage unless your healthcare provider specifically tells you to do so. Taking Wymzya Fe incorrectly may increase the risk of pregnancy.

Wymzya Fe Dosing for Birth Control

When you take Wymzya Fe for the first time, you can choose to start it either on the first day of your period (within the first 24 hours after bleeding starts) or on the first Sunday after your period starts. If you start Wymzya Fe on the first day of your period (a "day 1 start"), you do not need to use any backup contraception. If you choose a Sunday start, you need to use a backup method of contraception, such as condoms, for the first week. If the first day of your period happens to be on a Sunday, treat this as a day 1 start (no backup needed).
Starting at the beginning of the pack, take one tablet at the same time each day. Each pack will last for four weeks (28 days). After you finish one pack, start a new one the next day. Do not let any days pass between packs (this may take a little planning, as you will need a new pack on hand).
The first 21 tablets contain the active ingredients. The last seven tablets do not contain any hormones, although they contain a little iron. With these last seven tablets, your body gets a little break from the hormones, allowing you to have a period.
