More Medicines That Can Interfere With Vestura

Atorvastatin
Atorvastatin can increase the level of Vestura in your blood, which may increase your risk for side effects. Check with your healthcare provider before taking these medications together.

Barbiturates
Barbiturates may cause your body to metabolize the hormones in Vestura too quickly, which could increase your risk of pregnancy. Ask your healthcare provider if you should use a different method of contraception while taking a barbiturate.

Certain Seizure Medications
Some seizure medications may cause your body to metabolize the hormones in Vestura too quickly, possibly increasing your risk of pregnancy. Ask your healthcare provider if you should use a different method of contraception while taking a seizure medication.

Cyclosporine
Vestura may increase the level of cyclosporine in your blood, possibly increasing the chance for side effects. Talk with your healthcare provider before taking these medications together. You may need a lower cyclosporine dosage, or you may need to switch to a different method of contraception.

Heparin
Combining Vestura with heparin can increase the risk of high potassium levels in your blood (hyperkalemia). Your healthcare provider should regularly check your potassium levels if you are taking both of these medications.

Modafinil
Modafinil can make Vestura less effective, possibly increasing your risk of pregnancy. Talk with your healthcare provider about this drug interaction, as you may need to use a backup method of contraception.

Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs)
Taking Vestura with NSAIDs can increase the risk of high potassium levels in your blood (hyperkalemia). Occasional use in healthy women who take Vestura should not typically cause a problem. However, check with your healthcare provider if you take NSAIDs regularly or if you take a large dosage.
