Veregen® (sinecatechins) is a medicated ointment used three times a day to treat external genital and perianal warts. It is used until the warts are gone, up to a maximum of 16 weeks.
At this time, Veregen is available in one strength (15%) in a 15-gram tube. The dosage is the same for everyone, regardless of the severity of your condition. A thin strand about half a centimeter long should be applied to each wart. Carefully dab the medication to completely cover each wart, leaving a thin layer on the warts.
Although most people tolerate this medicine well, side effects are possible and may include skin reactions, such as redness, itching, and burning.
