As a combined oral contraceptive, Tri-Estarylla is licensed to prevent pregnancy. It works by stopping ovulation and altering the cervical mucus and uterine lining. It is also approved to treat acne. This generic version of Ortho Tri-Cyclen is a tricyclic birth control pill, as it contains three phases of hormones. It is important to take one pill a day, at the same time each day.
