Additional Drugs That React With Syeda

Certain Seizure Medications
Some seizure medications may cause your body to metabolize the hormones in Syeda too quickly, potentially increasing your risk for pregnancy. Ask your healthcare provider if you should use a different method of contraception while taking a seizure medication.

Cyclosporine
Syeda may increase the level of cyclosporine in your blood, possibly increasing the chance of side effects of cyclosporine. Talk with your healthcare provider before taking these drugs together. You may need a lower cyclosporine dosage or a different method of contraception.

Heparin
Combining Syeda with heparin can increase the risk for high potassium levels in your blood (hyperkalemia). Your healthcare provider should check your potassium levels regularly if you are taking both of these medications.

Modafinil
Modafinil can make Syeda less effective, potentially increasing your risk for pregnancy. Talk with your healthcare provider if you are taking both of these drugs, as you may need to use a backup method of contraception.

Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs)
Taking Syeda with NSAIDs can increase the risk for high potassium levels in your blood (hyperkalemia). Occasional use of NSAIDs in healthy women who take Syeda is not normally a problem. However, check with your healthcare provider if you regularly take NSAIDs or if you take a large NSAID dosage.

Potassium-Containing Products
Combining Syeda with potassium products can increase the risk for high potassium levels in your blood (hyperkalemia). Your healthcare provider should check your potassium levels regularly if you are using potassium-containing products while taking Syeda.
