Syeda Birth Control Information
If you are looking for a birth control pill to help prevent pregnancy, your healthcare provider may prescribe Syeda™ (drospirenone/ethinyl estradiol). This drug is a combined hormonal contraceptive that contains two different hormones (an estrogen and a progestin). It is a generic version of Yasmin®.
This birth control pill is taken every day. It is important to take the pill at the same time every day, as taking it late or missing doses could increase your risk of pregnancy. Although many women tolerate it well, side effects are possible and can include nausea, headaches, and breast pain.
Before using this form of birth control, make sure to review the safety information for Syeda. This pill may not be suitable for all women, so make sure your healthcare provider is aware if you have any other medical conditions (such as migraines or diabetes) or are taking any other type of medicine (including nonprescription medications, herbal supplements, or vitamins).
(For more information on this birth control pill, click Syeda. This article provides a complete overview of this contraceptive, explaining how Syeda works, what to expect while taking it, and what to tell your healthcare provider before taking it.)
