Rilpivirine Drug Information

Although most people tolerate this medicine well, rilpivirine is not suitable for everyone. Possible side effects may include depression, insomnia, and headaches. Make sure to take rilpivirine as prescribed, as missing doses can increase the chance of the virus becoming resistant to the medication.

Before taking rilpivirine, make sure your healthcare provider has up-to-date information on any other drugs you are taking (including vitamins and supplements), as well as any allergies you may have, including to medications, foods, dyes, or preservatives. Also, let your healthcare provider know if you have certain medical issues, such as a history of mental illness, kidney problems, or liver disease.
