Pirmella Birth Control Information

PirmellaTM (norethindrone and ethinyl estradiol) is one of the many birth control options available to women today. This medication is a combined oral contraceptive, which means it contains two different hormones (estrogen and progestin). It comes in tablet form and is taken by mouth once a day. As with other birth control pills, Pirmella may cause side effects such as headaches, bloating, and breast tenderness.

It's important to take this pill every day, at the same time each day, as missing doses increases your risk of an unintentional pregnancy. If you have certain other medical conditions, such as high blood pressure, your healthcare provider needs to know this information when prescribing Pirmella. This birth control pill may not be appropriate in these situations, and discussing these and other issues with your healthcare provider will help ensure that this is the right product for you.
