Orsythia Birth Control Information

A commonly prescribed birth control pill, Orsythia™ (levonorgestrel/ethinyl estradiol) works to prevent pregnancy in three different ways:

  • It changes the cervical mucus
  • It alters the lining of the uterus
  • It stops ovulation.

Most women have no problems with this drug; however, safety information should be reviewed with your healthcare provider before taking it. This includes knowing potentially serious side effects to watch out for and what to do if you happen to miss a dose.

(Click Orsythia for more information on this birth control pill, including specific side effects, what your healthcare provider needs to know when prescribing it, and more.)
