Microgestin Fe Birth Control

One of the many birth control options available to women is Microgestin® Fe (norethindrone/ethinyl estradiol). It is a generic version of Loestrin® Fe and works to prevent pregnancy by altering the lining of the uterus and the cervical mucus in addition to stopping ovulation.

In order to effectively use Microgestin Fe for birth control, you must take a pill every day, and preferably at the same time each day. Missing doses increases the risk of pregnancy. This product is unique in that the last seven pills of the pack contain iron, which can help prevent anemia during your menstrual period.
