Kurvelo Birth Control Information

Kurvelo® (levonorgestrel/ethinyl estradiol) is a prescription medication used for preventing pregnancy.  As a generic version of Nordette®, Kurvelo is a combined oral contraceptive that contains two different hormones (estrogen and progestin).
 
This medication comes in tablet form and is taken by mouth once a day. It is important to take this pill every day, at the same time each day, as missing doses increases your risk of an unintentional pregnancy.
 
Information about this birth control pill should be reviewed with your healthcare provider prior to use in order to help ensure its safety and effectiveness. Just like any medication, Kurvelo may cause side effects. Some of the possible side effects include bloating, breast tenderness, and nausea.
