Information on Ortho-Cyclen
Many different kinds of birth control pills are available, such as Ortho-Cyclen® (norgestimate/ethinyl estradiol). This medication contains two different types of hormones and works to prevent pregnancy primarily by stopping ovulation, but also has other effects in the body.
Dosing information on Ortho-Cyclen should be carefully reviewed with your healthcare provider prior to taking it. Missing pills increases your risk of pregnancy, so you need to know what to do if you happen to miss a dose. You may find that taking this drug at the same time each day, such as at breakfast, helps you remember to take it.
(Click Ortho-Cyclen for more information on this drug, including exactly how it works, possible side effects, and important safety considerations to keep in mind.)
