Dasetta Birth Control Information
Women who are interested in an oral form of birth control may consider Dasetta™ (norethindrone and ethinyl estradiol). It works by stopping ovulation, changing the cervical mucus, and altering the lining of the uterus. You must take this drug every day, preferably at the same time each day; missing doses increases the risk of pregnancy.
Although this contraceptive is generally effective and safe, not every woman can take it. For example, if you have a history of heart disease, high blood pressure, blood clots, or chest pain, this form of birth control may not be right for you. Prior to taking Dasetta, inform your healthcare provider about any other medicines you are taking; in addition, tell him or her if you smoke.
