Briellyn Birth Control Information

BriellynTM (norethindrone/ethinyl estradiol) is a prescription medication used to prevent pregnancy. This oral contraceptive (birth control pill) is a generic version of Ovcon® 35. The dosage of Briellyn is the same for all women: one pill is taken per day, at the same time each day.

Although most women are able to use it without any problems, side effects are possible and may include:

Because not all women should use this form of birth control, the drug information for Briellyn should be reviewed with your healthcare provider before taking it. For example, your healthcare provider needs to know if you have any medical conditions, such as high blood pressure, liver disease, or diabetes. Drug interactions with Briellyn can make the pill less effective, so you should also provide a list of all medications and supplements you are taking.
