Balziva Birth Control

Women who are interested in a pill form of birth control may consider Balziva™ (norethindrone/ethinyl estradiol). This product is a monophasic drug, which means that there is only one strength of hormones in each pack. Biphasic and triphasic pills, by comparison, have different phases of pills with different strengths of hormones in each pack.

When taking Balziva for birth control, it is important to take one pill every day, preferably at the same time each day. Missing pills increases the risk of unintentional pregnancy. Most women tolerate this medication well; however, side effects can include nausea, headaches, and breast tenderness.
