It is a good idea to talk to your healthcare provider about the precautions and warnings with Solia before taking the birth control pill. Solia can make some health conditions worse, so it is important to tell your healthcare provider about any existing medical conditions you may have. It is also important to discuss any possible drug interactions with Solia that may apply to you.

 

Solia: What Should I Tell My Healthcare Provider?

Solia™ (desogestrel/ethinyl estradiol) is a prescription birth control pill and is a generic version of Desogen®. You should talk with your healthcare provider prior to using Solia if you have:

  • Have an upcoming surgery
  • Smoke cigarettes
  • Are pregnant or thinking of becoming pregnant
  • Are breastfeeding.

Make sure to tell your healthcare provider about any other medication you are taking, including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
