Taking Safyral After Pregnancy

Taking Safyral After Pregnancy

Women who are breastfeeding may start Safyral as soon as four weeks after giving birth, but not sooner, due to the risk of blood clots. Women who are breastfeeding should generally avoid Safyral or any other combined oral contraceptives (see Safyral and Breastfeeding).

Final Thoughts

If you accidentally used Safyral for a while before realizing you were pregnant, this should not cause any problems. However, if you are pregnant, you should stop using Safyral right away. If you think you may be pregnant, you should contact your healthcare provider for further instructions.
