Side Effects of Ritonavir

Nausea, high cholesterol, and diarrhea are some of the most commonly reported side effects of ritonavir. While side effects are typically minor, some are potentially serious -- even life-threatening. Contact your healthcare provider right away if you experience such ritonavir side effects as unusual or unexplained bleeding, a change in body fat distribution, and signs of an allergic reaction.

Side Effects of Ritonavir: An Introduction

As with any medicine, side effects are possible with ritonavir (Norvir®); however, not everyone who takes the drug will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider.
