Raltegravir Interactions Explained

The following sections explain in detail the potentially negative interactions that can occur when raltegravir is combined with any of the drugs listed above.

Atazanavir
Atazanavir increases the level of raltegravir in your blood. However, this interaction usually does not cause any problems. Nevertheless, check with your healthcare provider before combining these two medications.

Phenobarbital
Theoretically, phenobarbital may decrease the level of raltegravir in your blood, making it less effective. Check with your healthcare provider before taking them together.

Phenytoin
Theoretically, phenytoin may decrease the level of raltegravir in your blood, making it less effective.
