Orsythia

Orsythia is a combined oral contraceptive, which is one of the most popular types of birth control pills. It works to prevent pregnancy primarily by stopping ovulation, but has other effects on the body as well. Most women can take it without problems; however, side effects can include nausea, headaches, and breast tenderness. The medication comes in tablet form and should be taken every day.

Are There Side Effects?

As with any medicine, side effects are possible with Orsythia.

However, not everyone who uses the contraceptive will have problems. In fact, most women tolerate it quite well.

If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider. Serious reactions are less common.

Common side effects of Orsythia include but are not limited to:

Acne
Nausea (with or without vomiting)
Breakthrough bleeding or spotting between periods
Breast tenderness
Headaches.
