Nor-QD Side Effects (Cont.)

Nor-QD Side Effects to Report

There are a number of side effects with Nor-QD that you should report to your healthcare provider. These include but are not limited to:

  • High blood sugar (hyperglycemia)

  • More than 45 days between periods (this may be a sign of pregnancy)

  • Severe lower abdominal (stomach) or back pain, which may be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy (also known as a "tubal" pregnancy) or an ovarian cyst

  • Signs of an allergic reaction, including unexplained rash, hives, itching, unexplained swelling, wheezing, or difficulty breathing or swallowing.

Final Thoughts on Nor-QD Side Effects

You may experience some or none of the Nor-QD side effects listed in this article. Unfortunately, it can be difficult to tell whether any particular side effect (such as nausea) is caused by Nor-QD or other factors. Therefore, make sure to let your healthcare provider know if you develop any side effects while taking the drug or if something "just does not seem right." While it may not be a side effect of Nor-QD, your healthcare provider will be able to diagnose and treat the problem.
