Side Effects of Nor-QD

As with any medicine, side effects are possible with Nor-QD. However, not everyone who uses the contraceptive will experience side effects. In fact, most women tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.
 
Common side effects of Nor-QD include but are not limited to:
 
  • Headaches
  • Breast tenderness
  • Irregular menstrual periods
  • Nausea.

Drug Interactions With Nor-QD

Nor-QD can interact with several other medications (see Nor-QD Drug Interactions).
 

Nor-QD: What Should I Tell My Healthcare Provider?

You should talk with your healthcare provider prior to using Nor-QD if you have:
 
  • Liver disease, including liver failure, cirrhosis, hepatitis, or liver tumors
  • Migraines or other unusual or severe headaches
  • Diabetes
  • Cancer (or if you have had cancer in the past)
  • Unexplained vaginal bleeding.
     
Also, let your healthcare provider know if you are:
 
Make sure to tell your healthcare provider about all other medicines you are taking, including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
