Next Choice 0.75-Mg Tablet

The dose of original Next Choice® (levonorgestrel) is the same for everyone, regardless of age or weight. This standard amount is one 0.75-mg tablet of Next Choice taken as soon as possible after unprotected sex, followed by a second 0.75-mg tablet taken 12 hours later.

The dose of Next Choice ONE DOSE is one 1.5-mg tablet taken once as soon as possible within 72 hours (three days) of unprotected sex.

Taking this form of emergency contraception within 72 hours of unprotected sex can help prevent pregnancy. The sooner you take these pills after unprotected sex, the more effective this contraceptive is at preventing pregnancy.

If you vomit within the first hour after taking Next Choice, call your healthcare provider immediately to see if you should repeat the dose.
