Nevirapine Drug Interactions

What If I Overdose on Nevirapine?

People who take too much nevirapine may experience the following symptoms:
 
  • Swelling or water retention
  • Fatigue
  • Fever
  • Headaches
  • Insomnia
  • Nausea
  • Rash
  • A spinning sensations (vertigo)
  • Vomiting
  • Weight loss.
     
If you happen to overdose on nevirapine, seek medical attention immediately.

Nevirapine: Storage Methods

Nevirapine should be stored at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep nevirapine tablets and oral suspension in an airtight container.
 
Keep nevirapine and all other medications out of the reach of children.
 

What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose of Nevirapine?

It is very important that you do not miss nevirapine doses. If you do not take your nevirapine as scheduled, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Be sure to tell your healthcare provider if you are having trouble remembering to take your HIV medications.
