Taking a calcium channel blocker with nevirapine may decrease the level of the calcium channel blocker in your blood, perhaps making it less effective. Your healthcare provider may need to monitor you more closely and increase the dose of your calcium channel blocker.
 
Certain Antibiotics or Antifungals
Combining nevirapine with certain antibiotics or antifungals may increase or decrease the level of both Nevirapine and the antibiotic or antifungal in your blood. Check with your healthcare provider before taking nevirapine with any of these medications.
 
Chemotherapy
Nevirapine may decrease the level of some chemotherapy medications in your blood, perhaps making them less effective. Your healthcare provider may need to monitor you more closely and increase the dose of your chemotherapy.
 
Efavirenz (Sustiva)
Nevirapine can lower the level of efavirenz in your blood, possibly making it less effective. Your healthcare provider may need to increase your efavirenz dosage or recommend a different combination of medications.
 
Ergot Medications
Nevirapine can decrease the level of an ergot medication in your blood, possibly also decreasing the effectiveness of the ergot medication. Check with your healthcare provider before taking these medications together.
