Drug Interactions With Myzilra

Women who are using Myzilra should make sure their healthcare provider is aware of all other medicines, vitamins, or herbal supplements they are taking. Negative interactions can occur when Myzilra is combined with certain drugs, including barbiturates, many seizure medications, and St. John's wort. Some of these reactions may cause various side effects or increase your risk for pregnancy.

An Introduction to Myzilra Interactions

Myzilra™ (levonorgestrel/ethinyl estradiol) may react with a number of other products. Some of the drugs that can interact with Myzilra include but are not limited to:
 
  • Aminoglutethimide (Cytadren®)
  • Antibiotics
  • Aprepitant (Emend®)
  • Barbiturates, such as:

 

    • Amobarbital (Amytal®)
    • Butalbital (Fioricet®, Fiorinal®)
    • Pentobarbital (Nembutal®)
    • Phenobarbital (Luminal®)
