Maraviroc Dosing

If you are not taking any other medications, the recommended maraviroc dosage is 300 mg twice daily. However, maraviroc dosing guidelines will vary, depending on other medications you are taking and other medical conditions you have. It is important to not miss any doses, as doing so may cause the HIV virus to become resistant to maraviroc, which could make the medication less effective.

Maraviroc Dosing: An Introduction

The dose of maraviroc (Selzentry™) your healthcare provider recommends will vary, depending on a number of factors, including:
 
  • Other medical conditions you may have
  • Other medications you may be currently taking.
     
As always, do not adjust your dose unless your healthcare provider specifically instructs you to do so.
 

Maraviroc Dosing for HIV or AIDS

The recommended dose of maraviroc for treating adults with
 HIV or AIDS depends on other medications you are currently taking. If you are not taking any of the medications discussed in this article, the usual recommended dose is maraviroc 300 mg twice daily.
 
The recommended dose is lower (maraviroc 150 mg twice daily) if you are taking any of the following medications:
 
 
 
The dose is higher (maraviroc 600 mg twice daily) if you are not taking any of the previously discussed medications, but are taking any of the following medications:
 

 

If you are taking any of the other medications listed in this article and have severe kidney disease, you probably should not take maraviroc.
