STD Home > Who Should Not Take Fosamprenavir?
You should not take fosamprenavir if you:
- Are allergic to fosamprenavir calcium, Lexiva, or any inactive components used to make the medication. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive components.
- Are allergic to amprenavir (Agenerase®), a similar medication.
- Take any of the medications that should never be taken with fosamprenavir (see Drug Interactions With Fosamprenavir).
There are a number of situations in which fosamprenavir should not be taken, as well as several precautions and warnings people should be aware of before starting the medication. However, it is possible that not all of the warnings or precautions were discussed in this article. Therefore, you should talk with your healthcare provider about the specific precautions and warnings with fosamprenavir that may apply to you.
