Falmina is a birth control pill used to prevent pregnancy. It is a generic version of Alesse. This prescription contraceptive works by stopping ovulation, altering the cervical mucus, and changing the lining of the uterus. Possible side effects include breast tenderness, headaches, and breakthrough bleeding between periods. Make sure to take each pill every day, at the same time each day.

Are There Side Effects?Just like any medicine, Falmina may cause side effects. However, not everyone who takes the contraceptive will experience problems. In fact, most women tolerate it quite well.
- Nausea (with or without vomiting)
- Breakthrough bleeding or spotting between periods
- Breast tenderness
