Were you looking for information about Amethyst? Amathyst is a common misspelling of Amethyst.
Amethyst™ (levonorgestrel/ethinyl estradiol) is a prescription contraceptive product. It is one of the many oral contraceptives (birth control pills) available. In addition to preventing pregnancy, this medication is sometimes used "off-label" to treat acne, premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), and heavy menstrual bleeding. Unlike most other birth control pills, there are no inactive tablets, which means you will not have a regular monthly period with this medication.
