Before taking Amethia Lo, make sure your healthcare provider knows about all other medicines, vitamins, or herbal supplements you are taking. Negative interactions can occur when Amethia Lo is combined with certain drugs, including some antibiotics, many seizure medications, and St. John's wort. Some of these reactions may cause various side effects or increase your risk for pregnancy.

An Introduction to Amethia Lo Interactions

Amethia™ Lo (levonorgestrel/ethinyl estradiol) may react with a number of other products. Some of the drugs that can interact with Amethia Lo include but are not limited to:
 
 
    • Amobarbital (Amytal®)
    • Butalbital (Fioricet®, Fiorinal®)
    • Pentobarbital (Nembutal®)
    • Phenobarbital (Luminal®)
