Jencycla Side Effects

Common Side Effects

Progestin-only birth control pills, including Jencycla, have been extensively studied in clinical trials. In these studies, the following side effects were commonly reported:
  • Menstrual changes
  • Breast tenderness
  • Nausea
  • Headaches
  • Dizziness.
The most common type of menstrual change is frequent, irregular bleeding, while prolonged or absent bleeding is possible although less likely.

Final Thoughts

You may experience some or none of the side effects listed in this article. Unfortunately, it can be difficult to tell whether any particular problem, such as nausea, is caused by Jencycla or other factors.
Therefore, make sure to let your healthcare provider know if you develop any problems while taking this product or if something "just does not seem right." While it may not be a Jencycla side effect, your healthcare provider will be able to diagnose and treat the problem.
