Enskyce Side Effects

Nausea, bloating, and breast tenderness are some of the most commonly reported side effects of birth control pills, including Enskyce. Although most women tolerate this contraceptive well, serious problems can also occur. Notify your healthcare provider if you develop sharp chest pain, swelling, or other serious reactions. In most cases, however, reactions tend to be minor and easy to treat.

An Introduction to Side Effects of Enskyce

Enskyce™ (desogestrel/ethinyl estradiol) is a birth control pill and is a generic version of Desogen® and Ortho-Cept®. As with any medicine, Enskyce can cause side effects. However, not all women who use this contraceptive will experience problems. In fact, most women tolerate it quite well. If reactions do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider.
(This article covers many, but not all, of the possible side effects with Enskyce. Your healthcare provider can discuss a more complete list with you. Enskyce is equivalent to Desogen, Ortho-Cept, Apri®, Emoquette™, Solia™, and Reclipsen™ birth control pills. The information in this article also applies to each of these medications.)
