Dasetta™ (norethindrone and ethinyl estradiol) is a prescription
birth control pill. Two different types of Dasetta birth control pills are available, including:
- Dasetta 7/7/7, a triphasic birth control pill (generic for Ortho-Novum® 7/7/7)
- Dasetta 1/35, a monophasic birth control pill (generic for Ortho-Novum 1/35).
Just like any medicine, Dasetta may cause side effects.
However, not everyone who takes the contraceptive will experience problems. In fact, most women tolerate it quite well.
If reactions do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.
Common side effects of Dasetta include but are not limited to:
- Breakthrough bleeding or spotting between periods
- Nausea (with or without vomiting)
- Breast tenderness
- Acne
- Headaches.
