Aviane Side Effects

Some of the most common side effects of Aviane (and all birth control pills) include bloating, breast tenderness, and nausea. If side effects do occur, they are generally minor and can be easily treated. However, if you develop any serious Aviane side effects, such as migraines or signs of an allergic reaction, contact your healthcare provider right away.

An Introduction to Aviane Side Effects

As with any medicine, side effects are possible with Aviane® (levonorgestrel/ethinyl estradiol); however, not all women who use the contraceptive will experience side effects. In fact, most women tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider.

(This article covers many, but not all, of the possible side effects with Aviane. Your healthcare provider can discuss a more complete list of Aviane side effects with you. Aviane is equivalent to Alesse®, Falmina™, Lutera™, and Orsythiabirth control pills. The information in this article also applies to these medications.)
